The Orioles could choose to activate Schoop from the disabled list before tonight’s game, forcing them to open two spots on the 25-man roster, or delay the move.
Schoop has hit home runs in three straight games at Double-A Bowie. He came out of last night’s game after the sixth inning.
The Orioles haven’t announced any moves or posted their lineup. The clubhouse opens to the media at 3:10 p.m.
Schoop has appeared in only nine games for the Orioles this season, the last on April 17 in Boston before injuring his right knee.
Update: Schoop is headed back to Bowie, and he won’t be activated tonight.
