Orioles center fielder Adam Jones has been removed from the lineup again tonight. However, the club said it’s due to the wet field conditions.
Jones tested his left ankle and hip again this afternoon before batting practice and was scratched from the lineup for the second consecutive day, though this time for precautionary reasons. He didn’t play in the last two games in Houston.

In case you missed the update earlier, Alec Asher remains in the Orioles rotation and will start Friday night against the Red Sox at Camden Yards.
Left-hander Wade Miley will open the series Thursday night, following by Asher, Dylan Bundy and Chris Tillman.
Ubaldo Jiménez remains in the bullpen after replacing Asher in the third inning Sunday and retiring 16 of the last 18 Astros.
Manager Buck Showalter offered a clue yesterday that he was leaning toward Asher when he noted how you have to be “careful with making an emotional decision.” In other words, don’t react too strongly to Asher’s six-run second inning or how Jiménez covered the rest of the game.
