By the way, Manny Machado’s 11-game batting streak ended with an 0-for-4 Friday. He is still batting .392 (20-for-51) over his last dozen games with seven doubles, a triple, a homer and seven RBIs. He has 11 hits his last 25 at-bats and is 13-for-30 (.433) with six doubles and four RBIs over his last seven games.

Nothing to worry about there.

Friday was a tough night for the American League East against the AL West:

* Los Angeles beat the Orioles 4-0, as the O’s had three hits.
* Oakland beat New York 2-0, as the Yankees had six hits.
* Texas beat Boston 7-0, as the Red Sox had six hits.
* Seattle beat Toronto 4-0, as the Blue Jays had five hits.

Remember how Toronto won the offseason? They haven’t won jack since. The Blue Jays are now 10-20 and 10 ½ games out of first place. Not saying they can’t come back, but they are digging themselves quite a hole to try and get out of.
