Mark Reynolds is starting at first base in Game 2 of today’s doubleheader. Let the speculation continue.
For the Orioles:
J.J. Hardy SS
Nick Markakis RF
Adam Jones CF
Vladimir Guerrero DH
Mark Reynolds 1B
Matt Wieters C
Nolan Reimold LF
Josh Bell 3B
Robert Andino 2B
Zach Britton LHP

The Pirates and Diamondbacks are two suitors.
I have some concerns about Davis being a 4A player. It’s not like he hasn’t been giving multiple chances to stick in the majors. But he’s got intriguing power and the organization doesn’t view Brandon Snyder as an everyday first baseman. Getting Davis and a starting pitcher, Tommy Hunter, for a 36-year-old setup man is a good deal for both sides.
Uehara will be missed. No question. But this team isn’t going anywhere in 2011, so fretting over late-inning relief could be viewed as wasted energy.
I would be surprised if Jim Johnson moved into the rotation. We’ll see how Uehara’s departure, the acquisition of Hunter and the possibility that Jeremy Guthrie stays with the Orioles impacts his role over the last two months.
