Lind, whose 17-game hitting streak against Baltimore ended Saturday, got a high offspeed offering that he crushed for his 21st homer. It was the 23rd homer allowed by Gonzalez.

The Orioles stranded three runners in the first two innings. In the second Matt Wieters singled and advanced to second on a grounder, but Brian Roberts hit a foul pop up that Blue Jay’s first baseman Lind made a nice running catch on to the inning.

Gonzalez is 9-6 with an ERA of 3.85 with 15 quality starts in 22 career starts against the American League East. He is 2-2 with a 3.79 ERA in six games in his career against the Jays.

With their next errorless-game, the Orioles will tie a major league record. Since 1921, the 2008 Houston Astros hold the record with 113 error-less games in one season. The Orioles have 112 already and clearly will easily break that record.

With his next extra-base hit, Chris Davis will tie the team record. Davis currently leads the majors with 91 extra-base hits. Brady Anderson set the club mark with 92 in 1996.

The Orioles today are looking for their first AL East road series win since the third series of the year when they won a series at Fenway Park from April 8-11.

Valencia’s key hit: Valencia got another big hit for the Orioles with a two-out, two-run double to left in the third to give the Orioles a 2-1 lead. Over his last 15 games, Valencia is batting .490 (25-for-51) with eight doubles, four homers and 12 RBIs since Aug. 4.

Another Davis RBI: Davis came up with his 131st RBI of the season without swinging the bat in the top of the fourth. He drew a bases-loaded walk for a 3-1 lead. The next batter, Jones, was robbed of a hit on a diving stop by second baseman Ryan Goins to end the inning as the O’s left the bases loaded. They’ve stranded seven runners in the first four innings.

Gonzalez leaves in sixth: Gonzalez pitched a strong game today but left in the last of the sixth with what appeared to be a groin injury. Gonzalez struck out Lind on a called third strike to begin the sixth but it looked like the injury may have occurred on that pitch in looking at the MASN replay.

Gonzalez’s final line: 5 1/3 innings, 6 hits, 1 R-ER, no walks, 2 strikeouts.
