Manny Machado is back in the Orioles’ lineup this afternoon in the series finale between the Orioles and Indians at Camden Yards.
Machado, who missed two games with a strained left groin, took batting practice and jogged around the bases.
Jonathan Schoop is starting at second base, so he’s not the corresponding roster move for catcher Nick Hundley.
The Orioles could option Caleb Joseph on Tuesday when Chris Davis returns from paternity leave.

Hunter is expected to throw off a mound in Baltimore while the Orioles are on their road trip.
Also, the Orioles hope to extend left-hander Johan Santana to 75 pitches or five innings Tuesday at extended spring training before figuring out his next move. They’d like to assign him to a minor league affiliate, but they’d have to maneuver around his opt-out clause at the end of the month.
