Wieters had registered four straight multi-hit games, batting .474 (9-for-19) with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs in that span. He’s 4-for-5 lifetime against former Oriole Jeremy Guthrie, who starts tonight for the Royals.

Markakis has hit safely in five straight games and leads the Orioles with nine multi-hit games. He’s batting .333 (7-for-21) during his streak.

Markakis is four hits shy of 1,400 for his career. He’s 2-for-5 lifetime against Guthrie. This will be the fourth game in his career that Markakis has played first.

Davis’ streak of reaching base ended at 20 consecutive games. By the way, he’s 1-for-16 with a home run against Guthrie.

The Orioles have gone 28 1/3 innings without a home run at Camden Yards. The last one was a solo shot by Wieters with two outs in the eighth inning of an April 13 game versus the Blue Jays.
