
MASN, the local leader in live sports entertainment, will televise nearly 200 college basketball games this season. The extensive lineup includes regional favorites from Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, covering 14 conferences, as well as major tournaments including the Charleston Classic, the BB&T Classic, and the Great Alaska Shootout. The season tips off at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11th from Louisville, as Kentucky Wesleyan faces Rick Pitino's Cardinals live in HD.
Top 25 teams appearing on MASN this season include Big East powerhouse programs like Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Villanova and Syracuse. MASN will continue its partnership with the Big East televising nearly 100 Big East games and a dozen Big East Games of the Week live and in HD.
As the official network of Georgetown University basketball, MASN will air nine live Hoyas games this season. Led by head coach John Thompson III, the Hoyas are ranked 20th in the Associated Press pre-season poll. Georgetown first appears on MASN on Thursday, November 18th when they take on Coastal Carolina live at 12:00 p.m. as part of the Charleston Classic. MASN will also carry a Georgetown women's game, as well as part of the Big East Women's Tournament in the spring.
MASN is also home to the 16th annual BB&T Classic, the annual showcase of the region's most talented young players. The Classic takes place on Sunday, December 5th starting at 2:30 p.m. when Florida faces American live from the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. At 5:00 p.m., George Washington takes on Navy in an exciting, regional showdown. The Classic culminates with a faceoff between Gary Williams' Maryland Terrapins and the 22nd-ranked Temple Owls at 7:30 p.m.
MASN, in its fifth year as the Official Cable Network of the George Mason Patriots, will televise eight live games this season. Jim Larranaga's Patriots make their first appearance of the season on MASN on November 18th live at 8:30 p.m. against UNC Charlotte as part of the Charleston Classic.
Other appearances by regional favorites include West Virginia, Marshall, Mount St. Mary's, UMBC, Loyola, VMI, James Madison, Radford, William & Mary, American, Towson and Liberty. As a partner of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, MASN's extensive regional package includes six live Seahawks games, including a key intrastate matchup with Wake Forest on December 12. MASN will also carry four UNC Charlotte contests, including a tilt with ACC powerhouse Georgia Tech on January 2, 2011.

Home of Carolina's live local sports, North and South Carolina colleges will appear 35 times on MASN this season, as 17 different Carolina programs will be featured by MASN. The robust lineup features regional favorites like Wake Forest, East Carolina, UNC Charlotte, NC State, Gardner-Webb, UNC-Asheville and Winthrop.
In total, 14 conferences will be featured on MASN this season including the A-10, ACC, America East, Big 12, Big East, Big South, CAA, CIAA, ECAC, MAAC, NEC, Patriot League and WAC. In March, MASN will televise both the Big 12 Tournament and the MAAC Conference Tournament.
MASN's extensive coverage also includes eleven women's NCAA games.
MASN will also carry college magazine and coaches' shows from around the region including Inside the Big East, Inside the Game, Mountaineer Jammin', NC State Basketball with Sidney Lowe, East Carolina Basketball with Jeff Lebo, Inside Notre Dame Basketball, America East on Campus, Inside Rutgers Basketball and Duke Basketball with Coach K.
