MASN announces 2016 Washington Nationals broadcast schedule

MASN, the television home of the Washington Nationals, today announced its Major League Baseball schedule for the 2016 season. Once again, all Nationals games broadcast by MASN will be available in crystal-clear high definition, including the season opener against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field on Monday, April 4.

Other highlights of MASN's 2016 Nationals schedule include interleague series against the Baltimore Orioles (Aug. 22-23, Aug. 24-25), and games versus the Minnesota Twins (April 22-24), world champion Kansas City Royals (May 2-4), Detroit Tigers (May 9-11), Chicago White Sox (June 7-9) and Cleveland Indians (July 26-27, Aug. 9-10) of the American League Central.

The Nationals will have 94 games air live on MASN and an additional 63 games will be broadcast on MASN2. Five Nationals games are currently scheduled to air on national networks in 2016.

Play-by-play voice Bob Carpenter and color analyst F.P. Santangelo, a major leaguer for seven seasons, will again serve as MASN's primary announce team. Carpenter enters his 11th season in the Nationals broadcast booth, while Santangelo begins his sixth campaign with the network. Dan Kolko returns for his third season as MASN's on-field reporter.

MASN will simulcast 20 Nationals games on WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C, the fourth year of the partnership between the networks. These MASN simulcasts on WUSA 9 will occur on the Thursday, April 7 home opener against the Marlins, and other select dates.
