The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) is a regional sports network owned by two Major League Baseball franchises -- the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles -- and televises every available game of both teams, live and in high definition. The network is available in a seven-state region, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Charlotte, North Carolina on 30 cable and fiber optic providers, and is televised nationally via satellite providers DirecTV and Dish Network.
Since MASN launched a full-time, 24/7 schedule in July 2006, the network has televised more than 400 professional and NCAA Division I collegiate events annually. MASN is the official cable network of George Mason Patriots Basketball.
Because the network is locally owned, MASN is committed to providing the best coverage of local sports. The network televises games of local and regional collegiate programs that have not previously enjoyed regional television exposure.
MASN's Emmy award-winning coverage of the Orioles and Nationals provides maximum access to sports fans across the region. The network has been at the forefront of using in-game production enhancements including super slo-mo cameras and pitch-tracking technology to enrich the viewing experience.
MASN televises every play and every game in crystal clear high definition with pregame and postgame shows in HD before and after every game from state of the art on-location sets at Nationals Park and Oriole Park at Camden Yards. With an All-Star broadcasting team and 24/7 online coverage of the teams at MASNsports.com, MASN is the local leader in live sports entertainment.

Programming Schedule Questions
Where can I find the MASN/MASN2 Programming Schedule?
You can find our updated programming schedule HERE
Please remember that, because we broadcast over 600 live games every year, our schedule is always subject to change.
Where can I find the Orioles' and Nationals' schedules?
Click here for the Orioles' 2019 Schedule
Click here for the Nationals' 2019 Schedule.
How can MASN televise both Orioles and Nationals games when the teams are playing at approximately the same time?
MASN televises 320 Nationals and Orioles games. When both teams are playing at or near the same time, a second MASN channel (MASN2) will carry the other game. Depending on the schedule, the Nationals and Orioles will appear on either MASN or MASN2. High definition broadcasts are available on MASN and MASN2.
How is it determined which team appears on MASN and MASN2?
As the home to two Major League teams, MASN televises more than 320 live MLB games every year, more than any other network in the country.
Because of the significant number of live games, MASN offers a second channel, MASN2.
Both the Nationals and Orioles play the same number of games on MASN and on MASN2. The network's television schedule is set in advance of opening day, and then provided to affiliate partners, listing services, and others.
Both MASN and MASN2 - and the standard and hi-definition channels - are provided to every one of MASN's cable, satellite and fiber optic partners.
You can find channel listings based on your location and provider HERE.
When do Nationals and Orioles games get replayed?
MASN2 games that originally air on Monday through Saturday nights will be replayed on MASN at 11:30 PM. MASN2 Sunday games will be replayed on MASN at 5 PM and the MASN game will re-air at 11:30 PM. Monday through Friday, MASN will air the MASN game from the previous day at 9:00 AM and the MASN2 game from the previous day at 12:30 PM. Please also check the MASN Programming Page. Please note there are no replays on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
Are the Orioles and Nationals pre- and postgame shows available on Dish Network outside of MASN territory?
MASN offers the pre- and postgame shows to all of its affiliates.
However, Dish Network does not offer pre- and postgame shows on any of the part-time (occasional channels) that it carries, including MASN.
Why are Nationals and Orioles Classics blacked out outside of MASN territory?
Due to MLB Productions regulations, we are not able to carry the games to viewers who live outside of the Orioles / Nationals home territory.
Does MASN televise every Nationals and Orioles game?
MASN will carry every Nationals and Orioles game during the regular season that is available. There are times during the season when the MLB national rights holders carry the game exclusively or when a game falls in the national rights holders broadcast window preventing MASN from airing portions of a game or an entire game.
Does MASN televise a daily sports show?
MASN carries The Mid-Atlantic Sports Report, which generally airs Monday-Friday at 5 PM on MASN. Check our Programming Schedule for exact air-times.
For daily sports updates and breaking news, we would encourage you to visit MASNsports.com. With player and talent blogs, beat reporters, up-to-the-minute video clips, series previews and game statistics, our website provides maximum access to the Orioles and Nationals twenty-four (24) hours a day.
Why does MASN show all MLB Nationals and Orioles games instead of college football?
MASN has a robust lineup of regional NCAA football including favorites like West Virginia, Syracuse, Louisville and many others. We develop our collegiate programming schedules to maximize the opportunities to showcase local NCAA programs.
As you may know, MASN's viewing territory includes all or parts of six states and the District of Columbia, from Harrisburg, PA to Charlotte, NC. The network is committed to televising local NCAA programming from colleges and universities throughout our regional territory.
As an independent Regional Sports Network, owned by the Orioles and Nationals, during baseball season the network's first obligation is to covering the teams - and serving the fans - of the professional baseball teams who created the network.
We are proud of our partnerships with Georgetown, George Mason, the Big South Conference, and the Big East Conference. Indeed, MASN televises more than 40 NCAA Division I football games and 150 NCAA Division I basketball games. No other network carries as many live professional and collegiate major events as does MASN.
How is it determined what college football and basketball games are aired on MASN?
As you may know, MASN's viewing territory includes all or parts of six states and the District of Columbia, from Harrisburg, PA to Charlotte, NC. The network is committed to televising local NCAA programming from colleges and universities throughout our regional territory.
The marketplace for televised sports rights is very competitive. Some college conferences and local teams have existing television rights deals with other networks that prevent MASN from airing those games.
MASN is always looking to expand our lineup of local collegiate sports programming and will pursue such programming as it becomes available
Why don't you air my favorite NCAA team's games?
MASN has a robust lineup of regional NCAA football and basketball games including local favorites and top ranked teams. As you may know, MASN's viewing territory includes all or parts of six states and the District of Columbia, from Harrisburg, PA to Charlotte, NC. The network is committed to televising local NCAA programming from colleges and universities throughout our regional territory.

Why aren't the broadcasts' crews the same for every baseball game?
As a baseball fan you know that the baseball season is a marathon, which starts in March and continues through October, as players, managers, and - yes, broadcasters - are on the job nearly every day for more than six months.
MASN's broadcasters may work anywhere from 35-150 games per season, while the alternate personality may be in the booth for the remaining games. From time to time, other commentators from MASN's deep bench of talent are brought into the broadcast, to offer their perspective on the game.
MASN will always strive to produce a first-class broadcast, with the latest technology, video, and special features that bring fans closer to the game.
I'm having trouble watching one of the MASN channels. What can I do?
Please try resetting your cable box / set top box to see if this clears up the problem. If not, please contact our Customer Service Team immediately. They will be happy to help you find a solution!
How is the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals broadcast territory determined?
Every team in Major League Baseball has a television territory. Since at least 1981, Major League Baseball has determined that the Orioles exclusive television territory comprises an area from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Charlotte, North Carolina, including Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Virginia and parts of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
In 2005, when the Montreal Expos were relocated to Washington, D.C., the Orioles agreed to share their television territory with the new Washington Nationals, in exchange for the rights to present those games on television. Major League Baseball, in the 2005 settlement agreement, reaffirmed the boundaries of the Orioles and Nationals television territory.
Does MASN provide closed captioning for its channels?
Closed captioning is an important service for presenting additional information on the screen for viewers who may be unable to hear the audio portion of the broadcast.
Many, but not all, of the production companies who provide programming to MASN embed closed captioning in their broadcast. In addition, MASN provides closed captioning services for much of our original programming.
Currently, MASN broadcasts with closed captioning for at least 20 hours per day.
*Please note that DirecTV does not provide closed captioning support for MASN2.
Are MASN channels available in high definition on Dish Network?
While MASN provides both of our HD channels - MASN and MASN2 - to all of our cable, satellite and fiber-optic partners, a few providers may not have launched both channels. The decision to launch MASN or MASN2 rests solely with these affiliates.
The announcement of MASN2 can be found HERE
A full list of the MASN's affiliates - and whether or not they choose to carry MASN / MASN2 is available HERE
If you have specific questions about Dish, please contact Dish directly at 1-800-823-4929.
Why are my favorite teams blacked out on Saturday and Sunday?
Major League Baseball's national television contract with FOX gives the national network an exclusive broadcast window on Saturdays during the baseball season that prevents regional sports networks from broadcasting MLB games. There are three windows that FOX has exclusively and that RSNs are prohibited from broadcasting in:
1) The Saturday afternoon window with a 1:10 PM EST
2) The Saturday afternoon window with a 4:10 PM EST
3) The Saturday night window with a 7:10 PM EST
Depending on which window Fox has chosen for that day, regional sports networks like MASN are not allowed to broadcast their regional games if the games start in the selected window.
Similarly, ESPN has an exclusive national broadcast window on Sunday nights. Regional sports networks like MASN are prohibited from broadcasting games and replays that start after 5:05 PM EST.
Some Wednesday afternoon games may also be selected by MLB for broadcast on Facebook Watch. These nationaly exclusive games would not air on MASN.
Do all MASN providers carry MASN2?
Yes. Every MASN partner carries both MASN and MASN2. Most affiliates carry MASN and MASN2 as well. A complete provider list and channel lineup can be found HERE.
When will my operator carry MASN and/or MASN2?
While most of MASN's cable, satellite, and fiber optic affiliates do carry the HD games, the decision is made by each distributor.
You can check HERE for a listing of affiliates and their channel listings.
When will Spectrum/Time Warner Cable carry MASN?
MASN does not have an agreement with Spectrum/Time Warner at this time. Please watch MASNsports.com for any updates.
Can MASN games be watched online in the MASN territory - which includes all of Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, the District of Columbia, most of North Carolina, and portions of Pennsylvania and West Virginia?
To watch livestreams of MLB games, you can subscribe to MLB.TV. However, if you are watching within the MASN territory, the Orioles and Nationals games would be blacked out on MLB.TV . MLB regulations restrict MASN from providing a standalone streaming service. To watch every Orioles and Nationals game, you would need to be subscribed to a MASN cable/satellite/telco affiliate.
Does MASN monitor the crowd and background levels of its broadcasts?
As you know, in recent seasons MASN has made major upgrades to our production including cameras, graphics, in-game stats, on-location sets at the Orioles and Nationals ballparks. MASN also televises every game live and in high definition. In addition, MASN is expanding its use of pitch-tracking, and continuing popular features like "Wired Wednesdays" and "Ask MASN."
All of these enhancements are designed to bring fans closer to the action on the field.
The crowd noise that is heard during game broadcasts is part of the experience of enjoying a Major League Baseball game. The audio levels are constantly monitored by our sound engineer and production crew. Still, your feedback is important and will help us continue to produce the best broadcast possible.

How do I get an autographed photo of my favorite MASN announcer?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests for autographs for our talent team. However, each of our announcers regularly make appearances in the community.
Can I purchase DVDs of games?
Unfortunately, MASN cannot sell or reproduce copies of games or of our shows.
Does MASN announce special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries?
Unfortunately, the network has a policy of respectfully declining these types of requests. As well-intentioned as this request may be, once an exception is made for one individual, it opens the floodgates to millions of others throughout MASN's seven-state television territory, who would also like an exception.
Does MASN provide promotional items given away at the Orioles and Nationals games?
MASN does not keep an inventory of promotional items distributed at Nationals and Orioles games. The only way to collect MASN giveaway items is to attend each team's home games on designated giveaway dates.

We are not able to provide additional sponsorships at this time. Thank you for your interest in MASN.
Is MASN available through an App/Online?
