The 16th annual BB&T Classic tips off December 5 at 2:30 p.m. when American meets Florida. Navy will face George Washington in the middle match-up beginning near 5:00 p.m. and the final game begins at approximately 7:30 p.m. when Maryland battles Temple.
MASN will air each of the games live and in its entirety, as well as pre- and post-game shows before and after each game. Veteran MASN broadcaster Jim Hunter will join esteemed writer and analyst John Feinstein in the booth. MASN’s Byron Kerr will provide sideline updates and interviews.
Military personnel should visit MASNsports.com to print a ticket voucher for four complimentary tickets. The tickets can then be redeemed at the Verizon Center Box Office beginning on November 30th with the printed voucher and military identification.
“For the fourth straight holiday season, MASN will honor the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform by distributing 1500 BB&T Classic tickets to military families” said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. “It’s one small way to express our gratitude to our servicemen and women, but also an important part of our commitment to giving back to communities throughout the mid-Atlantic region.”
The BB&T Classic benefits Children’s Charities Foundation, an organization founded in 1994 which has distributed nearly $7.5 million to charities in Washington, D.C. to provide programs that assist with health and welfare, help to build strong families, and provide educational and recreational opportunities for at-risk and disadvantaged youth.
MASN televises more NCAA basketball than any regional sports network in the country. With nearly 200 games featuring nationally ranked teams and local favorites, MASN is the region’s premier network for college hoops.
