(WASHINGTON D.C) -- MASN, the local leader in live sports entertainment and television home of both the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles, has announced a Fantasy Baseball challenge for fans throughout the second half of the baseball season on MASNsports.com. MAXIMUM ACCESS Fantasy Baseball launches today with competition beginning on Monday, August 3rd.
The contest allows fans to put together their own Major League Baseball roster and compete against other fans for top prizes each week. Rosters will include 12 players and be subject to a virtual $100,000,000 salary cap. Rosters may be modified each week, but fans can begin selecting their teams on Friday, July 31st.
MASN Prize Packs will be awarded weekly and include at least one autographed item from an Orioles or Nationals player. At the end of the season, ten grand prize winners will have an opportunity to talk baseball over lunch with Orioles manager Dave Trembley or Nationals interim manager Jim Riggleman.
"It's the same Fantasy Baseball game that we've all grown to love, but with great incentives that only MASN can provide," said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. "It's also a great way for young fans to learn more about the business side of baseball."
Additional rules and regulations, as well as information about scoring, are all available at masnfantasy.stats.com.
