On Thursday, Redskins legend John Riggins returns to MASN to host the region's best afternoon drive sports show. Talking Redskins, Nationals, Capitals and Wizards, the John Riggins Show will air each weekday between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. throughout MASN's seven-state territory.
MASN will simulcast the weekday show live from Washington D.C., where the Redskins' Hall of Famer has been on the air since April on the HD-3 channel of WTOP 103.5 FM. The beloved runningback and his outsized personality will entertain sports fans throughout the region with sharp, engaging and honest dialogue about local teams.
Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992, Riggins was the MVP of Super Bowl XVII and a franchise player for the Washington Redskins. He set dozens of NFL and franchise records during his near-decade with the team.
Adding the John Riggins Show strengthens an already impressive lineup of afternoon programming leading into Nats Xtra and O's Xtra each evening. Each day from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., MASN will continue to televise the Scott Garceau Show live from the WJZ studios in Baltimore.
The John Riggins Show previously aired on MASN from 2006 to July of 2008. Riggins returned to the radio in April with former Fox 5 sports anchor Lou Holder and former ESPN producer Kevin Stanfield, and Washington broadcasting executive Tod Castleberry.
