MASN to Launch on Fibrant in Salisbury, NC

MASN, the television home of the Nationals and Orioles, has reached an affiliate agreement with Fibrant, a cable and broadband provider in Salisbury, NC, to bring Major League Baseball and MASN's 24-7 sports programming to central North Carolina. Fibrant will be the ninth cable provider to offer MASN in North Carolina and will launch the regional sports network in September. Fibrant will carry MASN on channel 79, MASN 2 on 93, MASN HD on 749 and MASN 2 HD on 750. As a brand new system, Fibrant will be available to the 30,000 residents of Salisbury, providing a sports-friendly alternative to other cable providers. The launch of MASN brings NCAA football and basketball, Nationals and Orioles baseball, dozens of coaches shows and more local sports programming to viewers in central North Carolina. MASN is also available on the expanded basic tier throughout much of North Carolina on eight other fan-friendly cable and satellite providers including DirecTV (Channel 640), Dish Network (Channel 432), as well as Mediacom, Charter, MI Connections, Reds Cable, SkyBest and Tri County Cable. Throughout the football and basketball seasons, MASN televises over a dozen NCAA athletic programs in the Carolinas including Wake Forest, East Carolina, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, UNC-Asheville, Gardner Webb, NC State, UNC-Wilmington, Western Carolina, High Point, Winthrop, UNC-Charlotte and Charlestown Southern. MASN will feature two live ECU football games this fall, including October 30 when the Pirates visit the UCF Golden Knights and the exclusive telecast of the ECU vs. Navy game on November 6. MASN is also home to the Big East Game of the Week, offering Saturday double- and triple-headers throughout the season. The official cable network of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks basketball, MASN's extensive NCAA NC line-up includes C-USA, Big East, Big South, CAA and A-10 match-ups. MASN also televises coaches shows for ECU, NC State, and Duke.
