MASN to Televise Charleston Classic on November 18

MASN, the local leader in live sports entertainment, will televise six exclusive NCAA basketball games during the third annual Charleston Classic on November 18, 19 and 21. Each game will air live from Carolina First Arena in Charleston, SC.
MASN will televise the entire first-day tournament lineup starting with Coastal Carolina vs. Georgetown on Thursday, November 18th at noon. The Hoyas are ranked 20th in the nation in the preseason AP Top 25.

Additional first-day games will include USC Upstate vs. Wofford at 2:30 p.m., East Carolina vs. NC State at 6 p.m and George Mason vs. Charlotte at 8:30 p.m. Viewers throughout MASN’s seven-state territory will see all twelve NCAA programs invited to the Classic.
On November 19, MASN will carry additional second-round games at 12:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The championship game, on Sunday, November 21st, will be televised on ESPNU.
“The Charleston Classic is a marquee college basketball event that features the best in regional basketball and marks the start of the season,” said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. “For five years, MASN has offered the biggest package of NCAA Division I basketball games of any RSN in the country, and the Charleston Classic is the perfect way to launch our 2010-2011 season.”
Each season, MASN televises hundreds of NCAA football and basketball games. The network has multi-year partnerships with East Carolina, Georgetown and George Mason, as well as the Big South Conference and UNC-Wilmington to provide the best in local NCAA sports to viewers throughout MASN’s territory.
MASN is also the official home of the BB&T Classic, a triple-header of collegiate action, taking place December 5th at Verizon Center in Washington D.C.
MASN is available on the expanded basic tier throughout much of North Carolina on eight fan-friendly cable and satellite providers, including DirecTV, Dish Network, as well as Mediacom, Charter, MI Connections, Reds Cable, SkyBest, and Tri County Cable.
