The game is part of MASN’s continued partnership with East Carolina University, which brings the ECU Pirates to millions of viewers throughout MASN’s seven-state territory.
The Pirates, led by third year coach Mack McCarthy, return an exciting core group of young players this season as they take on Wake Forest in Greensboro.
Coming off of a 24-7 campaign last year, coach Dino Gaudio and the Demon Deacons were picked to finish sixth in the ACC this season.
“ECU values our partnership with MASN and the broad exposure our athletic programs receive throughout North Carolina and six additional states on MASN,” said ECU Athletic Director Terry Holland. “The Pirate Nation throughout the mid-Atlantic will be excited to watch Coach McCarthy’s team this season.”
The exclusive production highlights MASN’s three year partnership with East Carolina University. MASN has televised Pirates football and basketball for three seasons, including nine football games in 2009. The network carries the Skip Holtz Show and will also televise Coach McCarthy’s weekly show.
“MASN continues to work with East Carolina University to provide maximum access of ECU football and basketball to Pirates fans, alumni, students, parents and recruits throughout our seven state territory.” said MASN spokesman Todd Webster. “This game also highlights the rich tradition of NCAA college basketball in North Carolina and throughout the ACC.”
MASN carries hundreds of the best NCAA football and basketball games throughout the region with special partnerships with the Big East, ECU, UNC-Wilmington, George Mason, Georgetown and the Big South Conference. North Carolina’s home for NCAA football and basketball, MASN has featured UNCW, UNCC, Davidson, Western Carolina, Appalachian State, Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Wake Forest, Elon, UNCA and High Point in past seasons.
MASN is available on the expanded basic tier throughout much of North Carolina on seven fan-friendly cable and satellite providers including DirecTV (Channel 640), Dish Network (Channel 432), as well as Mediacom, Charter, MI Connections, Reds Cable, and Tri County Cable.
