The Orioles took a 4-0 lead in the third inning. Ty Wigginton singled and later scored on an error. Felix Pie hit a two-run homer and Luke Scott added an RBI double.
Pie has homered three times in his last four games and four times over his last seven games.
Grady Sizemore tripled and scored in the Cleveland 6th to cut the O’s lead to 4-1, but the O’s got that run back in the bottom half on Brian Roberts’ sac fly.
The Orioles, who are 6-5 over the last 11 games, improve to 10-19 in August and 32-33 in home games this year.
This homestand continues Monday at 7:05 p.m. as the Orioles host the Yankees in game one of a three-game series.
