There have been a few transactions today on the O’s farm.
With the three callups from Norfolk now in Baltimore, the Tides today added Miguel Abreu, Buck Britton and Phillip Britton from Frederick.
The Keys have added 18-year-old shortstop Jonathan Schoop from Bluefield, where he hit .316-2-16 in 39 games after batting .250-3-16 in 17 Gulf Coast League games. Delmarva has put first sacker Mike Flacco, who was batting .324 in 29 games, on the disabled list and activated right-handed pitcher Kevin Landry off the DL. Landry has been out since August 3rd.
Aberdeen has added LHP Jacob Pettit and RHP Andy Deain from Bluefield and transferred pitchers Bruno Sanchez and Justin Anderson to Bluefield’s roster. I will go out on a limb and say those last two are “paper moves” and the players are not physically with Bluefield, since their season ended last night.
Sanchez and Anderson recently made starts for Aberdeen, so it looks like the IronBirds are just adding some fresh arms for the final few games.
