The Orioles fall back to .500 at 7-7 and this three-game series is even at a win each heading into Thursday night’s series finale.

Moore gave up five hits and two runs over 6 2/3 innings to improve to 3-0 with an ERA of 1.00. For the second night in a row, the O’s starter pitched only five innings. But unlike Jake Arrieta, who gave up just one run Tuesday, Chris Tillman gave up four to take the loss tonight.

Over five innings, Tillman allowed six hits with two walks, six strikeouts and two home runs. He is 0-1 on the year with a 7.07 ERA through three starts.

Kelly Johnson and Shelley Duncan hit solo homers off him in the first two innings and a two-run double by James Loney made it a 4-2 Tampa lead in the fourth. Adam Jones tried to short hop Loney’s liner to center and it got by him but was scored a double. Loney added an RBI single in the eighth to cap a 3-for-3, three RBI night.

Jones’ two-run homer had tied the game in the last of the third. It was his second of the season for Jones, who now has 13 RBIs.

But the Orioles were held to three runs or fewer for the sixth time over the last nine games. Nolan Reimold went 0-for-4 tonight and fanned three times as the designated hitter making Orioles DHs 3-for-47 (.064) with one RBI all year.

Miguel Gonzalez (1-1, 2.92 ERA) faces 2012 AL Cy Young winner David Price (0-1, 5.82 ERA) tomorrow night at 7:05.
