Brian Matusz has completed five innings in the intrasquad game, and he hasn’t allowed a runner to reach since my last entry.
Pitching coach Rick Kranitz wanted Matusz to work from the stretch, so he put a runner on second base in the fifth.

Update: Kranitz put a runner on third base with one out in the sixth inning and brought the infield in, but Matusz induced a grounder to short that resulted in an out at the plate.
Will Ohman gave up a run today, but it doesn’t count.
