Wednesday afternoon is “Foam Finger Day” at Camden Yards.
Which finger?
Need a positive from tonight? Nobody was killed. Also, Matt Albers shut out the Rays on one hit over 3 1/3 innings.
The one hit was Evan Longoria’s single that scored Carl Crawford and completed Chris Tillman’s line.
Tillman has made six starts this season. In three of them, he’s lasted 1 1/3, two and 2 2/3 innings.
Cesar Izturis has two more hits tonight.

Brian Roberts is 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored at Double-A Bowie. Maybe interim manager Juan Samuel should have listened and put him in tonight’s lineup.
Rhyne Hughes is 2-for-2 at Triple-A Norfolk, raising his average to .279. Left-hander Chris George is shutting out Syracuse on four hits over 4 2/3 innings since replacing Michael Gonzalez.
Xavier Avery hit his fourth home run tonight for Single-A Frederick. Third baseman Billy Rowell has struck out twice and committed his 22nd error.
Short-season Single-A Aberdeen’s Trent Mummey is 3-for-4 with a double, home run and three runs scored. He’s batting .319.
