After pitching to an ERA of 2.77 over his previous four starts, the Orioles staked Brad Bergesen to a 6-3 lead today.
But he could not hold it.
The Nationals scored four runs in the sixth off Bergesen and Mark Hendrickson to rally for a 7-6 lead and win over the Orioles on Saturday afternoon.

Bergesen allowed six runs and 11 hits over five innings.
Ty Wigginton tied his career-high with 4 RBI and hit a two-run homer in the sixth, his 13th of the year.
The Orioles fell to 14-30 with their sixth loss in eight games. They fall to 1-3 on this road trip and 6-18 on the season on the road.
The Nats won for just the second time in nine games to get back to the .500 mark at 22-22. The O’s are 13-13 vs. the Nats since their 2006 move to Washington.
In the series finale, Sunday at 1:35, Kevin Millwood (0-4, 3.65) faces Jon Lannan (1-2, 6.02).
