French has walked two batters, but he’s faced only one batter over the minimum because Ty Wigginton grounded into a double play in the fourth. He’s had an outstanding changeup.

Update: The Orioles are looking for their first run, but at least they have a hit. Josh Bell singled with one out in the sixth inning to break up French’s no-hitter. Nick Markakis walked with two outs, but Ty Wigginton flied to right.

Brian Roberts laid down a bunt, and he might have beat it out except he glanced back to make sure the ball stayed fair.

Cesar Izturis made a sensational play to retire Casey Kotchman and end the top of the sixth. He ranged into shallow left field to backhand a ball and make the throw while his momentum almost carried him into the first row of seats. Just spectacular. If you missed it, you’ll catch it many times on SportsCenter.

He also started an impressive double play before Kotchman stepped to the plate, combining with Roberts to bring the crowd to its feet.

The Orioles are flashing the leather tonight, and Kevin Millwood has held the Mariners to one run in seven innings. Too bad they didn’t bring the bats.
