Not a good stat for the Orioles

This is the sixth meeting of the year between the Orioles and Yankees. In those six games, the Yankees have outscored the Orioles 16-0 in the first two innings of the games.
They are hard enough to beat without having to do it coming from behind.
Brad Bergesen gave up three extra-base hits, two walks and hit a batter in the top of first as New York took a 5-0 lead tonight.

He hit Robinson Cano in the leg with two outs and no one on and the Orioles down 2-0. What made it worse was he walked the next two ahead of Nick Swisher’s three-run double off the glove of left fielder Felix Pie that made it 5-0.
When CC Sabathia hit Nick Markakis with two outs in the Orioles first, that was a pretty clear retaliation pitch.
In the first inning this year, the Yankees have now outscored their opponents 35-14 while the Orioles have been outscored 21-9.
