ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Reliever Darren O’Day was activated from the disabled list today to fill the vacancy created after the Orioles optioned Gabriel Ynoa late last night.
O’Day was on the DL with a right shoulder strain, his last appearance coming June 6 against the Pirates. He’s 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in 24 games over 23 1/3 innings.

The Orioles have allowed five runs or more in 19 consecutive games, one shy of the major league record held by the 1924 Phillies. The Rays will try tonight to bring the two teams together.
Upon further review, the rotation has two quality starts in the last 17 games.
Trey Mancini is batting .342 (40-for-117) against right-handers this season. The Rays are sending right-hander Chris Archer to the mound tonight.
Seth Smith is 7-for-19 (.368) with a double, two home runs and five runs scored in his last five games.
