In order to ensure a timely commute to Oriole Park as the Baltimore Grand Prix approaches, the Orioles are encouraging those planning to attend the Orioles vs. Blue Jays series, August 30 to September 1, to carpool or take public transportation to Camden Yards whenever possible. As an added incentive, all fans who present a valid MTA (Maryland Transit Authority) pass from that day at the Oriole Park Box Office during any of the three games will receive $5 off the purchase of any regularly priced ticket to that game or any future game in September.
As a proud partner of the Baltimore Grand Prix, the Orioles are committed to assisting in the logistical planning surrounding the Labor Day weekend races. The Orioles recognize the importance that this event plays to the City of Baltimore, area hotels, restaurants and businesses, and the tens of thousands of fans who will be a part of Baltimore Grand Prix weekend.
Last month, in an effort to minimize the level of inconvenience for Orioles fans and Baltimore Grand Prix planners, the Orioles and Major League Baseball announced a time change for the Thursday, September 1 game from 7:05 p.m. to 12:35 p.m. All tickets and parking dated September 1 will be honored for the new 12:35 p.m. time.
The Orioles encourage fans to leave ample time to travel to and from the ballpark during this series. For more information about road closures and alternate routes, as well as downloadable maps and directions, fans should visit www.orioles.com/grandprix or www.gptraffic.com. Fans are advised that access to some parking lots at Camden Yards, as well as the routes to and from them, will change daily.
