TORONTO – A win here tonight would give the Orioles (38-38) an over-.500 record and their longest winning streak since they took six in a row from May 4-9.

The Orioles’ 3-1 win here Tuesday night was their third in a row, their longest win streak since taking three straight May 31-June 2. The Orioles also have a three-game road winning streak and they have not won four in a row on the road all season.

In the second game of this series tonight, left-hander Wade Miley (3-5, 4.48 ERA) will try to reverse a four-start slide that has seen his ERA jump to its present level from 2.82.

Miley is 1-2 with a 10.91 ERA over the past four games, allowing 20 runs (19 earned) in 15 2/3 innings. In his first 11 starts, he gave up a .241 batting average against. In these last four, that number is .373. In seven road starts, Miley is 1-2 with a 5.45 ERA.

He has made two starts this year versus Toronto, going 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. In eight career starts against the Blue Jays, he is 2-5 with a 4.57 ERA.

Right-hander Marcus Stroman (7-4, 3.69 ERA) gets the ball for Toronto, making his 16th start. He gave up a season-high seven runs in four innings Thursday at Texas. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs 10 times, has recorded 10 quality starts and the Blue Jays are 9-6 in his 15 games.

Toronto (36-40) has lost four of five and seven of its past 11 games. Toronto is 12-20 (.375) in games within the American League East while the Orioles are 24-17 (.585).
