Orioles minor league shortstop Alfredo Zambrano, a member of the club’s Dominican Summer League team, has been suspended for 50 games for testing positive for metabolites of Nandrolone.
Don’t know much about them, but they’re considered a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension begins at the start of next season.
Zambrano, 17, batted .140 in 18 games.
