The Orioles tonight selected right-hander Dylan Bundy of Owasso (OK) HS with their first selection in the 2011 First Year Player Draft, the fourth overall pick of the draft.
Bundy, 18, is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-handed pitcher from Sperry, OK. In his senior season, he went 11-0 with a 0.20 ERA and 158 strikeouts and five walks in 71.0 innings. He also batted .467 with 11 home runs and 54 RBI. Bundy was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year. Rounds 2-30 of the draft continue tomorrow beginning at noon. The draft will conclude on Wednesday with rounds 31-50.
