The Tigers tied the Orioles, 1-1 in the third inning on a one-out double by Brandon Inge and singles by Austin Jackson and Will Rhymes.
Center fielder Adam Jones got a late jump on Jackson’s fly ball into shallow left-center field. He appeared to take a step back before racing into the gap.

Nice hustle, which can make up for sluggish wheels.
Derrek Lee saved Wieters from a costly error yesterday on a pickoff attempt, and he dug out Mark Reynolds’ low throw today with runners on second and third and one out.
Lee’s defense is a stark contrast to what we’ve seen at first base over the past few years. I hope it hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans.
