Will Ohman gave up back-to-back homers to begin the eighth inning, a dramatic way to end his scoreless streak.
Ohman hadn’t allowed a run in 25 appearances, but Jose Bautista jumped on a first-pitch fastball – as the Jays always do – and Alex Gonzalez launched a 3-1 pitch over the left field fence.
The Orioles might want to skip the eighth inning. Maybe they can treat every game like a minor league doubleheader. Don’t they only play seven innings?

Bautista played for the Orioles, and three other teams, in 2004. Now he leads the AL in home runs. He officially qualifies as a late bloomer.
Bautista’s 16 homers equal his season-high with Pittsburgh in 2006. He played 117 games that year.
