That brought up Robert Andino, still looking to extend his five-game hitting streak. He couldn’t do it. Andino failed to check his swing and struck out against Yankees reliever Kerry Wood.

Nick Markakis was walked intentionally to load the bases for Adam Jones, who drove in the Orioles’ first run with a two-out bunt single in the first inning. Jones popped up, and the rally faded.
