The Orioles announced today that they’ve outrighted reliever Logan Ondrusek and outfielder Julio Borbon to Double-A Bowie.
Both players cleared waivers. Borbon again has accepted an outright assignment after being designated earlier this season.

The Orioles announced today that they’ve outrighted reliever Logan Ondrusek and outfielder Julio Borbon to Double-A Bowie.

Ondrusek was designated on Saturday to make room for left-hander T.J. McFarland, who subsequently was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk after clearing waivers. Ondrusek allowed seven earned runs in 6 1/3 innings with the Orioles.
Borbon rejoined the Orioles in New York with center fielder Adam Jones day-to-day with a strained left hamstring. He was designated on Sunday as one of the four roster moves made before the series finale at Yankee Stadium.
The Orioles signed reliever Tommy Hunter and recalled reliever Oliver Drake from Norfolk, pushing Borbon and McFarland off the roster.
Borbon is 4-for-13 with the Orioles this season. He’s expected to return in September when teams expand their rosters. Ondrusek also could be back in the bullpen.
Meanwhile, none of the Tides made the postseason Triple-A All-Star team.
The Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame announced its 2016 class this morning. Among the inductees are former Orioles outfielder and current vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson and sportswriter/official scorer Jim Henneman.
The induction ceremony will take place on Nov. 3 at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie.
