One team will end a losing streak tonight at Rogers Centre.
The Orioles have lost 14 straight in that park and are just 1-19 in their last 20 games in Canada. They have lost 23 of 25 there.
The Orioles’ last win in Toronto was August 7, 2009 by a 7-5 score. Jason Berken got the start and win while Jim Johnson got a save. Nolan Reimold and Nick Markakis had two RBIs each.

Meanwhile, Toronto has lost four games in a row being outscored 38-8 in that time. Toronto has lost five in a row at home, its longest Rogers Centre losing streak since the Jays dropped six in a row there in April of 2008.
If you want to get technical about it, the Orioles have lost two in a row (hardly a streak) and that could end tonight also.
Maybe a streaker will delay the game at some point tonight.
Here is another streak. Toronto’s starting pitcher, Carlos Villanueva, is working on a career-best eight-game winning streak and check out this stat: Villanueva, who had been pitching mostly in relief, has now gone 83 outings since his last loss on August 17, 2009. That is a long time even if, as we know, relievers can go long stretches without getting a decision.
Tonight’s Orioles starting pitcher, Chris Jakubauskas, has a small streak of his own. He has thrown seven scoreless innings since his latest recall from Triple-A.
I will throw in two more streaks before I run out of gas. J.J. Hardy is 9-for-23 during a six-game hitting streak. And, the Orioles have lost last their last four series against American League East opponents.
