OAKLAND, Calif. – Adam Jones and Trey Mancini are missing from the Orioles’ lineup today for the finale of their West Coast trip.
Jones was hit on the right wrist last night in the 10th inning and underwent an X-ray. Mancini is slumping and was removed for a pinch-runner.
Mancini struck out three times last night and is 2-for-16 in his last four games. He has four hits and nine strikeouts in his last 24 at-bats over six games.

OAKLAND, Calif. – Adam Jones and Trey Mancini are missing from the Orioles’ lineup today for the finale of their West Coast trip.
Jones was hit on the right wrist last night in the 10th inning and underwent an X-ray. Mancini is slumping and was removed for a pinch-runner.
Mancini struck out three times last night and is 2-for-16 in his last four games. He has four hits and nine strikeouts in his last 24 at-bats over six games.
Craig Gentry is leading off and playing center field. Jace Peterson is in left field, with Engelb Vielma starting at second base.
Mark Trumbo has hit safely in seven consecutive games in Oakland, going 11-for-27 (.407) with four doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs and five runs scored.
Alex Cobb will try to build on his last start, when he tossed five scoreless innings in Anaheim before allowing two runs in the sixth. He’s 0-3 with a 9.68 ERA and 2.377 WHIP in four starts, surrendering 19 earned runs (22 total) and 37 hits in 17 2/3 innings.
Cobb is 4-2 with a 2.33 ERA and 1.204 WHIP in eight career starts against the Athletics. He’s allowed five runs in 20 2/3 innings at the Oakland Coliseum.
Jed Lowrie is 8-for-16 with four doubles lifetime against Cobb, but he’s not in the lineup.
Former Orioles farmhand Andrew Triggs starts today for the Athletics. He’s gone 2-1 with a 5.20 ERA and 1.446 WHIP this season in six starts covering 27 2/3 innings.
Triggs has given up two runs or fewer in four starts, but a combined 10 over six innings in two outings. He’s faced the Orioles twice in his career, including one start, and allowed three runs with no walks and seven strikeouts in five innings.
Pedro Ãlvarez has the most at-bats against Triggs among players on the active roster, going 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two strikeouts.
