Left-hander Trevor Rogers has allowed three runs in his last five starts totaling 30 2/3 innings, and nine runs in his last eight starts totaling 48 innings. Rogers is making his 11th career start against the Braves after going 1-7 with a 4.81 ERA and 1.438 WHIP in 48 2/3 innings.

Ozzie Albies is 8-for-25 with a double against Rogers. Matt Olson is 1-for-16 with a double and eight strikeouts. Austin Riley is 5-for-23 with three doubles and a home run.

Rogers’ streak of going at least five innings in his last five starts and allowing one run or fewer is tied for fourth longest in club history. Hall of Famer Jim Palmer is first with eight in 1978, followed by Rogers’ seven last season and Tom Phoebus’ six in 1968. Hoyt Wilhelm (1959) and Erik Bedard (2006) also had a streak of five in a row.

Gunnar Henderson is playing in his 600th career game tonight. He’s one of four Orioles with at least 600 hits and 100 home runs in that stretch, along with Trey Mancini, Manny Machado and Eddie Murray.

Jorge Mateo makes his return to Camden Yards, playing shortstop and batting ninth. He’s slashing .244/.289/.386 with six doubles, four home runs, eight walks, 41 strikeouts, and nine steals in 10 attempts.

Right-hander Grant Holmes has a 3.70 ERA in 19 games (18 starts). The former Dodgers first-round pick in 2014 hasn’t gone more than five innings in a start since June 3.

Holmes has allowed five earned runs over his last five appearances totaling 23 2/3 innings. He’s posted a 3.25 ERA and 1.218 WHIP this season in nine road games and a 4.13 ERA and 1.458 WHIP in 10 home games.

The Orioles faced Holmes on July 6, 2025 and he allowed two runs in six innings.

Jackson Holliday is 3-for-3 with a home run against Holmes. Pete Alonso is 3-for-5.

Holmes hasn’t surrendered more than three runs in his last 12 games (11 starts)

The Orioles are 15-9 against the Braves since 2012. They swept a three-game series last year in Atlanta.
