Pedro Severino is catching John Means. DJ Stewart is in left field.
Means held the Indians to one hit in five scoreless innings in a June 28, 2019 start at Camden Yards. Carlos Santana singled with two outs in the first inning and Means retired the last 11 batters.
Adam Plutko, who’s now in the Orioles’ bullpen, allowed five runs and nine hits in 4 2/3 relief innings for the Indians.
Indians right-hander Aaron Civale, a third-round pick in 2016 out of Northeastern University, is tied for the American League lead with seven wins. He has a 3.28 ERA, 1.068 WHIP and .228 average against in 11 starts. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in six games.
Civale has never faced the Orioles.
