WASHINGTON – The Orioles are coming off their fifth shutout of the season and trying to piece together their first four-game winning streak since March 30-April 2.
Jonathan Villar is leading off and playing shortstop and Rio Ruiz is playing third base. Hanser Alberto is on the bench.
Anthony Santander is in center field, DJ Stewart is in left and Trey Mancini is in right.

WASHINGTON – The Orioles are coming off their fifth shutout of the season and trying to piece together their first four-game winning streak since March 30-April 2.

Asher Wojciechowski has made three career appearances (one start) against the Nationals and allowed four runs with 15 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings.
The Orioles bullpen has allowed only three earned runs in the last 24 innings since Aug. 20.
Max Scherzer is making his second start since July 25. He’s registered a 2.41 ERA and 0.998 WHIP in 21 starts and is averaging 1.7 walks and 12.5 strikeouts per nine innings.
Scherzer is 6-2 with a 2.85 ERA and 0.973 WHIP in 12 career starts against the Orioles.
Davis is 10-for-30 with a double, home run and nine strikeouts against Scherzer. Peterson is 5-for-23 with two doubles and 10 strikeouts. Villar is 2-for-13 with six strikeouts. Rio Ruiz is 1-for-8 with a home run.

Adley Rutschman hit his first home run last night for Single-A Delmarva.
Mark Trumbo restarted his rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk and also homered.
