SARASOTA, Fla. – Adam Jones is making another road trip tonight, a short drive to Bradenton to face the Pirates.
Jones played in Dunedin Sunday after returning from Baltimore following the birth of his son.
Alexi Casilla, in more need of at-bats, is batting leadoff and playing shortstop.

Steve Johnson, Alfredo Aceves, T.J. McFarland, Kelvin De La Cruz, Troy Patton, Chris Jones and former second-round pick Mychal Givens are listed as available relievers. Givens converted from shortstop to pitcher.
The bench includes David Lough, who had been shut down while experiencing dizziness and eye floaters.
Steve Clevenger, Ryan Flaherty, Quintin Berry, Henry Urrutia, Jemile Weeks, Julio Borbon, Buck Britton, Dariel Alvarez, David Freitas and Chad Tracy also are making the trip.
Note: The game-worn and autographed St. Patrick’s Day caps worn yesterday will be auctioned online at www.orioles.com/auction, to benefit the animal hospitals at Mote Marine Laboratory.
The Sarasota-based hospitals treat sick and injured dolphins, small whales and sea turtles with the goal of returning them to the wild. Fans can learn more about Mote’s animal hospitals at the OriolesREACH community booth on the main concourse during the game.

Once the Luis Ayala signing becomes official, and it’s not there yet, the Orioles will send him to the minor league complex at Twin Lakes Park. He’s not reporting to Ed Smith Stadium.
Ayala’s representative contacted the Orioles. They didn’t initially pursue him.
Ayala would provide more depth at the Triple-A level.
