Orioles and Rangers Game 3 lineups

ARLINGTON, Texas – A must-win Game 3 for the Orioles brings changes to their lineup against Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi.
Ryan O’Hearn gets his first start, batting fifth and serving as designated hitter. Adam Frazier is playing second base and batting ninth.
Gunnar Henderson is leading off.
Cedric Mullins is batting seventh, followed by third baseman Jordan Westburg.
Dean Kremer gets the call over veteran Kyle Gibson. He’s posted a 3.59 ERA in his last 26 starts.
Kremer owns a 5.17 ERA and 1.468 WHIP in three career starts against the Rangers, but he faced them on May 27 at Camden Yards and allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings.
Kremer was 2-1 with a 6.67 ERA in his six starts in April and 11-4 with a 3.59 ERA in 26 starts over the rest of the season.
Eovaldi is 12-5 with a 3.63 ERA and 1.139 WHIP in 25 starts, but he allowed 21 runs in 20 1/3 innings in September. He held the Rays to one run over 6 2/3 innings in Game 2 of the wild card round.
Eovaldi is 8-2 with a 3.23 ERA in 18 career starts against the Orioles.
Austin Hays is 8-for-25 with two doubles against Eovaldi. Ryan Mountcastle is 6-for-18.
Mullins is 8-for-30 with three doubles and 10 strikeouts. Anthony Santander is 4-for-21 with two doubles. Aaron Hicks is 4-for-23 with seven strikeouts. O’Hearn is 0-for-4 with three strikeouts.
Teams that have won the first two games of a best-of-five series are 78-10, including 42-3 since 2004.
The Orioles had 14 hits in their 11-8 loss on Sunday, marking the seventh time in major league history that a team lost a nine-inning postseason game after scoring at least eight runs and collecting 14 or more hits, per STATS. The Orioles were the first since the Nationals in Game 5 of the 2017 NLDS against the Cubs.
