Update: The Orioles haven't announced their Game 2 starter but Trevor Rogers is here as the 27th man and expected to make his 2025 debut.

“I think it’s game-to-game," said interim manager Tony Mansolino. "I think honestly, and I think you guys can understand this, we just have to get through this first game. We’ve got to try to win it, honestly, and if you’ve got to use five guys in the ‘pen to try to win the first game, so be it, and then that obviously affects Game 2, which affect the next couple days.”
Asked about Rogers, Mansolino replied, “We have him here. Once we get through the first game, we’ll go from there.”
Starting lefties at Fenway Park can be challenging and teams often try to avoid it.
“The big wall," Mansolino said. "It’s something that the hitters try to go after. But I wouldn’t say just left-handed versus right. We trust Cade (Povich) and all our other left-handed pitchers, so they’ll have a good attack plan to go after these guys and we’ll see what happens.”
Outfielder Ramón Laureano said he’s available to play today after injuring his left ankle Tuesday in Milwaukee. His spikes got caught in the turf.
Laureano went through his workouts today to test the ankle.
“There’s a pretty good chance that we see him here at some point today,” Mansolino said.
