DENVER – Renato Núñez is carrying a hot bat into the cleanup spot for tonight’s game against the Rockies at Coors Field.
Núñez has homered in three consecutive games and four of the last five. He’s collected six hits in 15 at-bats since May 19 and he’s starting at first base tonight.
Keon Broxton stays in center field after homering last night on the first pitch thrown to him and later reaching on an infield hit.

Núñez has homered in three consecutive games and four of the last five. He’s collected six hits in 15 at-bats since May 19 and he’s starting at first base tonight.
Keon Broxton stays in center field after homering last night on the first pitch thrown to him and later reaching on an infield hit.

Andrew Cashner has registered a quality start in three consecutive outings and four of the last five. He owns a 6.32 ERA and 1.702 WHIP in 15 games (10 starts) against the Rockies covering 57 innings and has allowed 25 runs in 28 1/3 innings at Coors Field.
Daniel Murphy is 6-for-14 with a double and home run against Cashner. Nolan Arenado, who homered twice last night, is 7-for-22 with two doubles.
Left-hander Kyle Freeland, a first round pick in 2014, was 17-7 with a 2.85 ERA and 1.245 WHIP last season in 33 starts. He’s made 10 starts this season and gone 2-5 with a 6.02 ERA and 1.433 WHIP.
Freeland has surrendered 12 home runs this season, only five fewer than he did all of last year. He’s living in the reverse-splits world, with left-handers batting .333/.391/.548 against him and right-handers hitting .223/.311/.458.
Three Orioles have faced Freeland. Jonathan Villar is 2-for-3, Pedro Severino 1-for-3 and Broxton 0-for-2.

The Orioles still aren’t listing their starter for Monday afternoon against the Tigers, but manager Brandon Hyde said he’ll reveal it later today. The Tigers are listing left-handers Daniel Norris, Matthew Boyd and Gregory Soto.
