Christian Walker is batting fifth today as the Orioles designated hitter against Twins left-hander Tommy Milone.
Walker was recalled today because of his stats this season against southpaws. He figured to get a start before most likely going back to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday when Nolan Reimold returns from paternity leave.

Ubaldo Jimenez becomes the 11th pitcher from the Dominican Republic to make 250 career starts. He’s logged 1,495 1/3 innings and is on the brink of becoming the 15th Dominican pitcher to reach 1,500, according to STATS.
The Orioles continue to lead the majors in batting average with runners in scoring position, but it’s down to .299.
Manager Buck Showalter confirmed to reporters in Minnesota that Kevin Gausman will start Sunday for Norfolk, as speculated yesterday, and also could make one more start for the Tides before being recalled. Gausman will take Zach Davies’ spot on Sunday while the right-hander pitches in the Futures Game.
The Orioles have rescheduled their Q&A session for season ticket holders with executive vice president Dan Duquette and manager Buck Showalter for Aug. 15. Players also will sign autographs that day.

Update: The Orioles were swept in Minnesota, losing today 5-3 after Bud Norris served up two home runs in the sixth inning.
The Orioles have lost eight of their last 10 games. They hadn’t been swept in a three-game series since April 21-23 in Toronto.
The Twins hadn’t swept the Orioles in a three-game series in Minnesota since 2007.
