Blaze Alexander is playing shortstop this afternoon in Chicago, with Gunnar Henderson serving as designaed hitter.

Henderson homered last night in the Orioles’ 2-1 win over the White Sox.

Samuel Basallo is catching, which moves Adley Rutschman to the bench again.

Dylan Beavers is in right field.

Trevor Rogers is one of seven starters to throw 13 or more innings with two runs or fewer allowed, joining Miami’s Sandy Alcantara, Atlanta’s Bryce Elder, Detroit’s Tarik Skubal, the Angels’ José Soriano, Kansas City’s Michael Wacha and Seattle’s Bryan Woo.

Wins for a pitcher don’t really matter, but Rogers has earned one in his last five daytime starts since Aug. 6, 2025, posting a 1.36 ERA with five earned runs in 33 innings. He’s allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last 13 day games since June 9, 2024, going 7-3 with a 1.63 ERA in 82 2/3 innings.

Orioles relievers haven’t let an inherited runner score, going 0-for-12. They’re among three teams to accomplish the feat, along with the Guardians (0-for-15) and Royals (0-for-8). Rico Garcia and Yennier Cano have stranded four.
