NEW YORK – The Orioles filled their open roster spot this morning by recalling left-hander Donnie Hart from Triple-A Norfolk. He serves as the replacement for starter Kevin Gausman, who was traded yesterday to the Braves.
Hart has been recalled nine times this season.
Alex Cobb is seeking his third win and the first since June 5. His 14 losses lead the majors.
Cobb is 6-4 with a 2.99 ERA and 0.996 WHIP in 14 career starts against the Yankees and he has a 3.12 ERA and 0.865 WHIP in five starts…

Sonny Gray has registered a 5.08 ERA and 1.465 WHIP this season in 20 starts, but he has a 2.00 ERA and 0.778 WHIP in three starts against the Orioles and has gone 3-0.
Tim Beckham is 7-for-19 with a double and two home runs lifetime against Gray. Mark Trumbo is 1-for-14.
Gray has lowered his ERA from 5.85 to 5.08 over his last three outings.
Adam Jones is celebrating his 33rd birthday today.
Breyvic Valera is making his Orioles debut today, hitting ninth and playing second base.
