Improvements and enhancements to the new Carvel Kids’ Corner, located inside Gate C at Camden Yards, include two new interactive games that young fans will be able to play whenever they visit Oriole Park. “Home Run Derby” will give youngsters the chance to take their hacks in a batting cage, while “Strike Zone”, featuring flat-screen plasma TV’s and enhanced graphics, will allow kids to throw their best fastball into a virtual strike zone.
The area also includes a new playground set, featuring a brand new slide, as well as new picnic tables with awnings and a mural featuring a history of the Oriole Bird mascot. In the coming weeks, three oversized Oriole Bird bobblehead statues will be added to the location.
The area will still include previous Carvel Kids’ Corner favorites including a moonbounce and t-ball inflatable.
The new enhancements allow the Carvel Kids’ Corner to continue to serve as a primary pre-game and in-game destination for families.
