Monday, March 6, 7 p.m. – The 1988 season was memorable for the wrong reasons, starting with an 0-21 start to the campaign. On May 2, the O’s returned to Memorial Stadium for what was dubbed “Fantastic Fans Night,” a tribute to those who stuck with the team through the losing streak. Well, the 1-23 Orioles sent a sellout crowd of 50,402 home happy with a 9-4 win over the Rangers. Cal Ripken Jr. homered and Jay Tibbs finished one out shy of a complete game.

Friday, March 10, 9 a.m. – Down 2-1 in the eighth inning against the Yankees, the Orioles relied on some eighth-inning home run power to win 5-3 on Aug. 13, 2014. Jonathan Schoop tied it with a solo shot off Dellin Betances and Adam Jones put the home team ahead for good with a three-run blast off Shawn Kelley.

Friday, March 10, 7 p.m. – I’m not sure there was a happier recent memory in Orioles history than the night of Sept. 16, 2014, when an 8-2 victory over the Blue Jays clinched the American League East for the Orioles, their first division crown since 1997. Home runs by Steve Pearce and Jimmy Paredes powered the win, which ignited a wild celebration all across Birdland.
