For each event, the Orioles transform Ed Smith Stadium, hosting various entertainment acts. Most recently, the Orioles invited the Sarasota community to the ballpark for free concerts from singer-songwriter Margaret Valentine and Grammy Award-winning artists America.
The schedule has also included the “Play Arts!” event, a free day of hands-on family activities that celebrated “Any Given Child Sarasota,” and “Ice on the Diamond – A Holiday Celebration,” in which spectators were treated to a holiday-themed show in a festively decorated Ed Smith Stadium.
“Arts in the Ballpark” continues May 10, when the Sarasota Orchestra and five-time Grammy nominated violinist, vocalist and songwriter Molly Cherryholes perform “Spirit of America.” For details on this event and for a complete schedule, visit orioles.com/sarasota.
The “Arts in the Ballpark” series is an initiative of the Orioles and OriolesREACH and demonstrates the club’s year-round devotion to the Orioles’ spring training community.
