This one’s more appropriate for the Kansas City series: The Orioles are 6-1 with a 2.57 ERA in seven games against the Central Division this year. They’re 13-3 in their last 16 games against the Central dating back to Aug. 14, 2011 – 3-1 vs. Chicago, 7-0 vs. Minnesota and 3-2 vs. Detroit.

The Orioles are 10-1 when Adam Jones hits a home run. So root really hard for Adam Jones to hit a home run.

The Orioles have hit 42 of their 58 homers at night this season, the second-most in the majors behind Texas’ 45. Seven of Matt Wieters’ eight homers and five of Nick Markakis’ six have come at night.

The Orioles are the only team in baseball to have seven different players with five or more home runs – Jones, Wieters, Markakis, Wilson Betemit, Chris Davis, J.J. Hardy and Nolan Reimold.

The Orioles lead the majors in home runs against right-handed pitching (45) and are second in road homers (27). They lead the majors with 24 homers in the seventh inning or later.
