The Orioles are in Fort Myers for another game against the Twins, hopefully without the rain that soaked their last meeting, but the club’s also playing an intrasquad game in Sarasota. I had a tough call to make this morning. The Orioles are in Fort Myers for another game against the Twins, hopefully without the rain that soaked their last meeting, but the club’s also playing an intrasquad game in Sarasota. Kevin Millwood is throwing five innings, and Jim Johnson the last two. Their combined ERAs equal the approximate weight of the bus that’s transporting part of the squad to Hammond Stadium.

I’d like to watch them throw, but I go where the team goes, so I’m jumping on I-75 for the 90-minute drive. But I’ll let you know what happens at Ed Smith Stadium. It’s the closest I can come to being in two places at once.

I also hope to catch Brian Roberts in the clubhouse before I leave. I’m heading back inside.
